Rolling Stones legend Mick Jagger caused tongues to wag last week when photos emerged of him snuggling a mystery sugar baby on a hotel balcony in Zurich, Switzerland.
The woman has been revealed as American dancer Melanie Hamrick, who, aged 27, is 43 years younger than Sugar Daddy Mick.
The photographs have caused much upset to the family of L’Wren Scott, Mick’s former lover who committed suicide earlier this year when Mick was on tour in Australia.
It was thought at first that serial Sugar Daddy Jagger had a one-night stand with Hamrick, but it has been reveled the two actually met some months ago in Japan, while Jagger was still with his now-deceased lover.
However, a spokesman for Jagger has stressed that sen though they met sometime ago, his first liaison with Melanie did not take place until Zurich.
Hamrick has a penchant for Sugar Daddies it seems, said to be engaged to 46-year-old José Manuel Carreño, a fellow dancer. She has been romantically involved with Carreño for six years, and engaged since May 2011.
Jagger, a great-grandfather, has upset Ms Scott’s family very upset with these revelations.
Speaking from her home in Utah, her sister Jan Shane said: ‘These pictures make me really wonder what Mick is really thinking and feeling.
‘His daughter says that he is still heartbroken and so devastated about losing my sister – and then you see these photos. He will never change. And people wonder why L’Wren was so depressed? The more I think about it – the more angry it makes me. My sister deserves so much more respect than that. It hasn’t even been three months. I now believe that he was a bigger part of her troubles that no one knew about. I am so hurt to know that she was so sad and hurting inside and felt that she had nowhere to go.’
Mick Jagger continues to rock on, in more ways than one, in his golden years, as the Sugar Daddy and the rest of the Rolling Stones are due to play in Vienna later today as they continue their 14 On Fire world tour.
